By downloading or using Hushkeeper you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If there is a conflict, these terms apply to the extent permitted by Apple's agreement.
1. The app
Hushkeeper lets you store photos, videos and documents in encrypted vaults on your iPhone or iPad, back them up to your iCloud account and share selected files with others. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control.
2. Your responsibility for your keys
Your pattern and recovery phrase are the only way to decrypt your vaults. We never receive them and cannot reset them. If you lose both, your files cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Keep your recovery phrase somewhere safe.
3. Acceptable use
You are responsible for the content you store and share. Don't use Hushkeeper to store or share content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or exploits or harms anyone. Only share files you have the right to share.
4. Hushkeeper Pro
- Pro is available as a weekly, monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, as a one-time lifetime purchase, or as a Family plan (yearly or one-time) that can be shared with up to five family members through Apple's Family Sharing. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
5. Shared vaults
Expiry dates, open limits and export restrictions are enforced by the Hushkeeper app. They cannot prevent recipients from taking screenshots or photos of their screen. Share only with people you trust.
6. Duress pattern
The duress pattern removes other vaults from the device. Their encrypted iCloud backups, if enabled, are kept and can be restored with their recovery phrases. Without a backup, removed vaults cannot be recovered.
7. No warranty
The app is provided "as is". While we work hard to keep it secure and reliable, we don't guarantee that it will be error-free or that no data will ever be lost. Keep backups of files that matter to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
